Sustainability Strategy
At Lanas Trinidad, we operate under a sustainable and circular economic-production business model.
This model aligns with best practices in ethics, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility, establishing guidelines for managing and controlling potential impacts arising from our operations.
Lanas Trinidad is committed to maintaining a harmonious relationship with all its stakeholders, acting respectfully towards people, the environment, and the community. This commitment is grounded in respect for Human Rights and sustainable development.
Our main sustainability pillars, which guide our ethical business culture, are as follows:
• Integrity and Consistency: Acting in alignment with our values and convictions, ensuring coherence between words and actions.
• Responsible Business Management: Supporting strategic objectives through responsible business practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Constantly striving for improvement, offering products of the highest quality standards and ensuring profitable, responsible management for society and the environment.
• Considering that our staff is the main driving force of our organization, we are committed to contributing to their professional and personal development, improving their quality of life, safeguarding their integrity and health, and promoting a safe and suitable working environment.
• To seek excellence in environmental management and sustainability within the textile chain, applying a quality and environmentally sustainable production process based on a circular economy system.
• Renewable Water Use: Utilizing 100% renewable water sources, without extracting water from non-renewable resources (rivers, city's drinking systems nor groundwater).
• To be leaders in effluent treatment, with a unique system in the world within the textile industry. We apply a biological treatment to our wastewater, where sustainable electricity is generated through the capture and subsequent burning of biogas. Additionally, the treated effluent is used as a biofertilizer in crops and tree plantations, thus preventing discharge into natural watercourses.
• Legal and Voluntary Compliance: Complying with applicable labor, environmental, and Human Rights legislation, as well as any other obligations, standards, or values voluntarily adopted by the Company.
• Responsible Risk and Opportunity Management: Managing the risks and opportunities of Lanas Trinidad's activities responsibly, minimizing adverse impacts and enhancing positive ones within the environment and value chain.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Mutual Benefit: Promoting relationships with stakeholders and generating mutual benefits.
