Wool tradition
since 1916.
With a wool industry tradition since 1916, Lanas Trinidad is the leading producer and exporter of scoured and combed wool tops in Uruguay. Our products are exported to the world's most demanding markets. Lanas Trinidad encourages the production of fine and superfine wool by incentivizing producers who excel in product quality and implement regenerative management practices. This is driven by the conviction that teamwork is essential to achieving a high-quality, globally competitive product.
By combining ancient traditions with a modern and dynamic work model, Lanas Trinidad has an installed capacity to process 10 million kilos of top-quality scoured and combed wool annually, within the 17-32 micron range.
Our wool is 100% mulesing-free.
In the city of Durazno, our reception and sorting center, known as “La Barraca”, prepares wool according to each customer's needs. “La Barraca” has a textile laboratory where tests are conducted for Fiber Diameter (microns).
Meanwhile, in the city of Trinidad, our industrial plant conducts the scouring and combing processes. Both the scoured wool (NCM 51.01.2) and the wool top (NCM 51.05.2) produced by the company meet the highest quality standards thanks to the work of highly qualified staff and advanced technology in all production processes.
