Treatment Service
At Lanas Trinidad, we are convinced that the commitment to total product quality goes beyond customer satisfaction. That is why we also care for the environment around us. In our production processes, all the inputs used are biodegradable, and we operate under the highest quality standards with an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) approach.
For this reason, in the 1990s, we constructed a dam with a capacity of one million cubic meters and a 7-kilometer aqueduct to transport water from the dam to the industrial plant for use in the wool-scouring process. Lanas Trinidad scoures 100% of its wool with rainwater. After this process, wool grease is extracted via centrifuges, and the remaining effluent undergoes biological treatment in over 22 aerobic and anaerobic lagoons on a 140-hectare site. The final outcome is that this effluent meets all legal requirements for appropriate final disposal. In our case, we do not discharge any effluent; instead, we use it for the agronomic irrigation of trees and forage crops. The circularity of water is 100%.
