Circular economy

Circular economy is based on resource optimization, waste valorization, and the promotion of reuse and recycling of materials to their maximum potential.

Lanas Trinidad stands out for having a high-quality and environmentally sustainable production process, unique in the world, based on a circular economy system.

This concept involves three fundamental principles, which are as follows:

  • Design production, minimizing waste and pollution.
  • Increase the lifespan of produced items and materials in use.
  • Regenerate and restore natural systems.

This economic-productive model not only creates new raw materials from waste, transforming them into new products and generating additional revenue streams, but it also reduces environmental impacts, including carbon emissions, and generates new job opportunities.

At Lanas Trinidad, our journey into circular economy practices began in the early 1990s—a pioneering step at a time when these production practices were unknown to the wool industry. Initially, academic information on the subject was scarce, and we navigated a path by testing and learning, developing new practices and techniques. Through years of dedication and accumulated expertise, we have directed our actions towards a circular economy model, continuously refining and perfecting our approach to uphold this work philosophy.
