Uruguay, a globally recognized exporter of combed wool tops, is located in the southeastern part of Latin America. Our country has the ideal conditions for proper animal welfare. With a mild climate and vast pastures, Uruguay offers a natural, renewable, and sustainable environment for sheep farming. The animals live outdoors year-round, grazing on natural pastures with an optimal mix of rainfall and sunshine, free from snow.

Uruguayan wool is of excellent quality, and the practice of mulesing is not carried out on animals here. Our commitment is to ensure that sheep can socialize and live in a healthy, comfortable environment, thus enhancing the unique qualities of the wool, which add high value to industrial processes and the final products made from it.

Fine and superfine wools are increasingly in demand worldwide due to their remarkable qualities, making them a friendly fiber suitable for versatile use in all climates.
As a result, Uruguay is gradually expanding its production capacity for wool in the 17-20 micron range.
